Search is on-device. Only your choice is used.

Enter their Insta
For the people you know by handle, not by number. To be matched back on Insta you confirm your own account first, so nobody can claim a handle that isn’t theirs.

Your connection to Breathaway is encrypted, and the identifiers you give us — phone numbers and Insta handles — are stored encrypted rather than as readable text. You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, whenever you want. What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in our Privacy Policy.

That isn’t exclusivity for its own sake. A quiet like only becomes a match if the person you picked can be reached — so we open a city, a campus, a circle at a time, rather than everywhere at once and nowhere properly.

Questions people ask
No. A like is only ever revealed when it’s mutual — when you have both chosen each other independently. Until that happens, and if it never happens, nothing is shown to them and nothing is sent to them.
Then nothing happens, and nothing is disclosed. Your like simply waits. We don’t message people to tell them someone is waiting for them, because that would give you away.
No. The search runs entirely on your device. Only the one person you decide to like is ever sent to us — not the rest of your address book.
No, and we would never ask. Confirming your handle works by sending a one-time code from your own account. We have no access to your Insta beyond that.
Breathaway only works when the people you’d actually pick are reachable. Opening a place at a time, rather than everywhere at once, is what makes a match possible instead of theoretical.
